Teen Beads – Primary Montessori Math

Heather Brostron, primary directress (preschool/kindergarten teacher) at OakHaven Montessori School in O’Fallon, MO, demonstrates to a group of parents how she would give a small child a presentation on the teen beads. Preschool and kindergarten age children (in OakHaven’s primary program) have fun working with this material, which helps them:

- gain a sensorial experience of making teens by combining a ten and a number bar from one to nine
- learn the names of the teens
- learn the sequence of the teens
