Elementary Students Participate in GO! St. Louis Read, Right, Run Race

OMS Elementary students before the race.

This past Saturday, four of our elementary students ran in the GO! St. Louis Read, Right, Run race. Since September, these 4 have not only ran 25 miles, they have participated in 26 acts of service and read 26 books. The program culminated on Saturday when the children ran the final 1.2 miles in Forest Park.

Race day proved to be a cold one - just 21 degrees - but the each of the children ran strong! Thank you to Ms. Mikol (elementary directress), Ms. Julie (primary assistant and parent), and Lexie Dendrinelis (OMS parent) for making sure the children were prepared for the run, as well as the parents and siblings who braved the cold and cheered on the runners.
