Elementary Program and Admissions

    Our elementary program is designed for students in grades 1 - 6.  
    To qualify for admission, a student must have completed a Montessori primary program at OakHaven or another Montessori school, so that s/he possesses the necessary foundation upon which the elementary studies are built. 
Admission Process for Transfer Students:

  1. Parents come in for a personal tour to discuss their child(ren), watch the classrooms, and ask questions.  This usually takes around 90 minutes.

  2. Parents turn in a completed elementary application form, along with the $50 application fee (non-refundable).

  3. We will contact you as soon as possible to schedule a time for your child(ren) to come to visit the classroom for a day.  

  4. After the visit day, we will meet to discuss our observations of your child(ren) in the classroom and decide on next steps (that could be another visit, provisional enrollment, or discontinuation the application process).  

  5. Upon acceptance, you will receive an enrollment packet containing all the information you need plus all the forms required for admission.  Together we will decide on a mutually agreeable start date for your child.

  6. The amazing Montessori journey continues!

    As with the primary program, we accept those qualified students, who, in the opinion of the school, will have successful experiences in the program and will enhance the classes for which they are applicants.
